The Lions Club of Piliyandala organized a community service project to provide refreshments and healthy nutritious meals to elderly low-income beneficiaries who visited the Piliyandala Post Office to collect their monthly government allowance. Each beneficiary was served a fish bun and a cup of tea for breakfast. In addition, a parcel of rice and curry was provided to take home and enjoy later. The project was warmly appreciated by the beneficiaries and reflected the club's commitment to serving the elderly and supporting vulnerable members of the community.

Under the District 306 D2 service project, the Piliyandala Central Lions Club conducted a dengue eradication program on Sunday, July 5, 2026, starting at 10:00 AM. Led by Region 5 Chairperson Lion Yohan Dushamantha, the initiative involved clearing mosquito-breeding waste and cleaning both sides of the road along Kolamunna Bimbarama Road in Piliyandala, as well as cleaning the drainage system and removing waste from School Mawatha (the road behind the Central College) where water flow had been obstructed. • Attached the Project proposal here
