On the occasion of World Diabetes Day, a special health program was conducted on the morning of November 14th at the Kohila Kotuwwa MOH Office. The following services were provided: BMI assessment Eye examination A team of four doctors, five Public Health Midwives, and two Public Health Inspectors rendered their services at this event. In addition, our Regional President Lion Sarath Kumara, Cabinet Officer of the Aranwela Lions Club Lion Nandika, Secretary Lion Rajiva, Treasurer Lion Danuka, and Senior Lion Priyantha Ilangakoon also took part in the program. Sponsored the printing cost for "DAYATA ARUNELLA" PROGRAM Conducted by Damma school teachers Association of Millaniya Division of Damma Schools. 300 certificate were printed and Handed over to the Damma school teachers Association of Millaniya Area. Organised a blood donation camp at Bellapitiya Temple on 06.12.2025. Project chairperson lion Dayapala Pathirage. No of donors blood given-75 Participation-lions 16 L/L2 Non Lions 10 General Hospital Horana Blood Bank officials participated to camp. Publicity cost-Rs 5000.00

Cooking and giving rice packets to flodded victims

Myself , Lion Manilal and Lion Kanchana from Lions club of Colombo West participated in ths project Lion Heshini and governor organised .We helped to cook and distribute lulunch packets and water to the flood victims of the area, The governor , Lion Heshini , Lion Indika was present, we distributed more than 800 lunch packets.we have given the dry rations earlier to our governor ,took karapincha and rampe from home , it didnt cost anyhing .

I bought these items(bill provided ) and some more from a small shop near by ( didnt get a bill) and gave to this family in the photo , theres the father and 2 school children .They have lost eveything and staying in a relations house .They said dry rations are a great help at the moment but need kitchen utensils ec. LLion Heshini and Lion Indika Siriwardana was present.I gave this from my money.

Providing Lunch and Drinking water bottles for displaced peoples

In the Ingiriya Halwathura area, displaced by the floods and without drinking water and food facilities, the Horana Midcity Lions Club were able to provide lunch and drinking water bottles to more than 300 people today. The Principal of Ingiriya Gamini Vidyalaya, Mr. Anura Ajith Kulatunga, the Regional Chairman of 306 D2 Regional No. 7, Mr. Dayapala Pathirage and the Derana Media Network participated in this.
