We, at the Lions Club of Colombo Kalubowila provided fifty packets of rice n curry and fifty bottles of water to the people of Peliyagoda who were affected by the floods that hit Sri Lanka in November 2025. All these items were handed over to the Mayor of Peliyagoda.

On 30 November 2025, we donated dry rations, sanitary items, bottled water, and clothing to those affected by the landslide in Udaththawa village, Hasalaka, Mahiyanganaya. On the 27th, a massive landslide in the area claimed the lives of more than 30 people, including family members of the Chief Monk of our temple. An entire village was destroyed by the landslide. Udaththawa village remains in deep sorrow. Rescue teams are still searching for bodies buried under the earth. Post-mortems and final rites are being carried out as the bodies are recovered. Pamunupura Junior School, Hasalaka—where we had planned to conduct our project on December 20—has now been converted into a common place to keep the remains of those who lost their lives. Fortunately, no children of the school were harmed by the landslide. Due to the emergency flood situation, lunch and drinking water were provided today (2025-11-28) to 30 affected families in the Northern part of Arawwala. As informed by Lion Nuwan, this initiative was carried out at the request of Kesbewa Divisional Council Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Anoma. Local scholarship program 2-2025 November.

Monthly scholarship payment to local students (project 2) was made on 29.11.2025 . This is also a Signature project of the club. Project chairperson lion Lalith Wijayasiri. Funds are being transferred to the club projects funds Account through Bank Standing order. Beneficiaries-41 students. Each and every month payment are being made to students. Each students get Rs 3000.00 per month.

This project also conducting more than 20 years. Funds donated by lion members. Each and every month payment are being made to local students. Beneficiaries list attached. Each student is getting Rs 2000.00 per month.

ඊයේ (2025-11-30) දිනයේදී කඩුවෙල රණාල ප්‍රදේශයේ අවතැන් වී සිටි 200කට පමණ රාත්‍රී ආහාරය වැල්ලවත්ත බටහිර සිංහ සමාජයෙන් සහ Colombo Wings සිංහ සමාජයෙන් නිවෙස්වලම පිළියල කර අපි රැගෙන භාර දුන්නා. නමුත් රැගෙන යාමේදී අවට ජල ගැලීම් හේතුවෙන් සමහර මාර්ග අවහිර වෙලා තිබ්බා. එම නිසා අපිට එම ස්ථානයට යාමට බාධාවක් වුණා. නමුත් ජීවිත ආරක්ෂක කණ්ඩායමෙන් පනා ගොඩ පැමිණ එම ආහාර අපෙන් ලබා ගත්තා. මේ වෙනුවෙන් මූලිකත්වය ලබා දුන්න සිංහ ලහිරු, සභාපති සිංහ දිනුක් Colombo Wings සිංහ සමාජයටත් ,වැල්ලවත්ත බටහිර සිංහ සමාජයේ සභාපති සිංහ පද්මිණී, සිංහ තේජා , සිංහ ඩිලාන් සියලු දෙනාටම මේ මොහොතේ අපගේ ගෞරවය පුද කරනවා. අද දවසේ පානීය ජලය අවශ්‍යයි කියා අපට ලැබුණි තිබෙනවා. ඒ වෙනුවෙනුත් අපි අද දවසේ පානීය ජලය රැගෙන යාමට බලාපොරොත්තු වෙනවා.
