A new Invention Club was formally established at Dharmaraja Vidyalaya, Piliyandala, marking an important step toward fostering creativity, innovation, and technical skills among students.
During the inaugural meeting, the inaugural office-bearers were selected.

Other student officers: Selected to support the club’s activities and administration.
The session focused on the importance of nurturing invention skills from school level, highlighting how innovative thinking, problem-solving, and hands-on experimentation can shape future engineers, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Club procedures, operational guidelines, and future activity plans were discussed in detail. Students were briefed on how the club will guide young inventors to participate in major national competitions, including:
Junior Inventor of the Year (JIY)
Sri Lanka Science Research Project Competition (SRPC)
Young Computer Scientist Competition (YCS)
Robotics and Technology competition
