A blood donation camp was held at Sri Sudarshanaramaya, Kumbuke on 30.08.2025, and approximately 86 pints of blood were collected. Project Chairman was Lion D.J. Dassanayaka. This is an annual project.

One Nimal Edirisinghe, a diabetic & kidney patient has requested financial assistance from us long year ago and Lion Indika Rajapakshe of our club gave his consent to donate funds monthly to his account. R M Methmi Upeksha, who is an A/L Student aged 18+ has requessted us for a financial assistance for her studies. Mr Ruchira Bandara gave his consent to assist Methmi until she finishes her A/L studies. From then, a standing order was processed and LKR 4000/- has been credited through our Project Account. This is for September 2025.

P. Sugiethma Jayathilaka whose father lost few years ago, is a student of Horana Taxila College, Western Province. She qualified for the AL last year and requested financial assistance for her studies . We communicated with Mr Ruchira Bandara and he agreed to give his hands to that student and since December 2024 he injected funds to Sugithma's mothers account through our project account. This is for September 2025.

B Rasindi Anuththara Mendis is studying at WP/HO/Gungamuwa Primary School coming from a poor family. Her father has no permanent job and doing daily paid work from place to place. Mother also has no job. They requested us some financial assistance to support their daughter's education. Accordingly, we arranged a scholorship to pay tution fees etc. for this student from our club account. Principal of the school also recommended this donation. This is for September 2025.

Visit to Thusitha Elders’ Home, Siyambalagoda The Lions Club of Polgasowita organized a heartfelt service project at the Thusitha Elders’ Home, Siyambalagoda, where lunch and snacks were provided to the resident elders. Following the meal, the elders enjoyed an afternoon of music, singing, and dancing, led by a singer from the Lions team, filling the home with joy and laughter. The project was sponsored by Lion Asitha Kodituwakku. Many of the elders residing at the home have been abandoned or neglected by their families, and the care, attention, and companionship they received during the visit brought them much-needed comfort and happiness. The event served as a touching reminder of the importance of compassion and community support for the elderly.

Final Invention and Robotics Competition Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda volunteered as the Chief Judge for the Final Invention and Robotics Competition organized by the Ministry of Education. The event was ceremonially declared open by the Prime Minister, in her capacity as the Minister of Education. A dedicated team of judges, comprising senior engineers and university academics, volunteered their expertise to evaluate the projects. Young inventors from across the country showcased their innovations, reflecting Sri Lanka’s growing interest in science and technology. A special award was presented to a lady inventor to encourage and promote the participation of girls in STEM education.

The project aimed to spread love and kindness through the simple yet powerful act of sharing a meal. Nutritious food was served with great respect and affection to the elders, many of whom live away from their families. This thoughtful initiative not only fulfilled a physical need but also touched the emotional hearts of those who have dedicated their lives to nurturing others.

Judging for the Final Invention and Robotics Competition Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda volunteered as a Judge to select student inventions for the Final Invention and Robotics Competition organized by the Ministry of Education. A dedicated team of volunteers, sponsored by the Lions Club of Polgasowita, also supported the event. The team included senior engineers, university academics in Engineering, and experienced professionals who had previously served as judges at zonal-level competitions. Their collective expertise greatly contributed to the fair evaluation and encouragement of young inventors.

Feeder Fair for Student Inventors in Robotics and Engineering A feeder fair was held to select outstanding student inventors in Robotics and Engineering for the upcoming Provincial-level Invention and Robotics Competition organized by the Ministry of Education. Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda was invited to serve as the Chief Judge and delivered an inspiring lecture on mentoring young innovators, encouraging them to pursue creativity and practical problem-solving through technology. Senior Engineers, teacher advisors, and engineering undergraduates participated as judges and volunteers, contributing their expertise and time to support the event’s success.
