successful completion of the “Clean Up Sri Lanka” project, held on 20th September 2025, organized by the Lions Club of Piliyandala in collaboration with the Lions Club of Colombo Kalubowila, Leo Club of Piliyandala, and Leo Club of Kalubowila. The clean-up campaign took place along Bypass Road, Piliyandala, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., as part of a nationwide initiative to protect and preserve our environment. On 18.10.2025, 30 pregnant mothers were provided with children's clothes, other necessary items and dry rations at the Walallawita Divisional Secretariat. A light meal was also provided to all the participating mothers. All expenses were borne by the project chairman, Sinha Chitra Dassanayake.

Clean-Up Program at Piliyandala Bypass Road On 20th September 2025, the Lions Club of Polgasowita, together with the LEO Club of Polgasowita, organized a comprehensive Clean-Up Program along the Piliyandala Bypass Road. This community service project was conducted at the request of Multiple District 306, aligning with the Lions’ global cause of environmental protection and community well-being. The initiative brought together a wide cross-section of the community — including officers of the Piliyandala Police, members of the Urban Council, and local residents, who actively participated in cleaning and beautifying the area. The joint effort fostered civic responsibility, environmental awareness, and teamwork among all participants. The session highlighted the value of national and international science and engineering competitions, including platforms such as: Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair (SLSEF) – a gateway for young innovators to qualify for global recognition. Healthy Lifestyle for the Future Youth To commemorate World Youth Skills Day on 15th July, an inspiring awareness program titled “Healthy Lifestyle for the Future Youth” was conducted by Dr. Jithmal Meegoda, Trainee Consultant in Medicine, with the support of Dr. Swarna, Grade I Medical Officer, and Dr. Devni, Trainee Consultant in Medicine. The session focused on the prevention of diabetes and the importance of cultivating healthy habits among young people to ensure a healthier future generation. The program emphasized nutrition, physical activity, mental well-being, and early detection of lifestyle diseases. Members of LEO Club of SLTC actively participated in the event, engaging in discussions and awareness activities. The message “Healthy Youth for a Better Tomorrow” resonated strongly, inspiring participants to adopt sustainable and health-conscious lifestyles.
