The donated items included biscuits, soap, sanitary pads, used clothes, and other essential household items, which were collected and handed over for distribution among affected communities through the Sahana Yathra project. |

Lions Club of Kesbewa conducted an eye screening and free spectacles donation programme for residents of the Sujatha Elders’ Home on 2nd December 2025. A total of 13 elderly residents were provided with eye examinations, and necessary spectacles were donated to improve their vision and overall quality of life. This initiative was carried out with the aim of supporting the health and well-being of elderly individuals by addressing their vision-related needs. Through this project, the Lions Club of Kesbewa reaffirmed its commitment to community health services and caring for vulnerable groups within society. |

Lions Club of Kesbewa carried out a disaster relief project on 2nd December 2025 by distributing more than 200 cooked meal parcels to people in the Kosgama area who were affected by the Ditwah natural disaster in Sri Lanka in late 2025. The disaster caused significant hardship to families in the area, disrupting their daily lives and access to essential needs. In response, the Lions Club of Kesbewa organized the preparation and distribution of cooked meals to provide immediate relief and support to the affected community. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and its continued efforts to assist communities in times of crisis. |

Lions Club of Kesbewa carried out a disaster relief project on 30th November 2025 by distributing more than 1,000 cooked meal parcels to people in the Kolonnawa and Gothatuwa areas who were affected by the Ditwah natural disaster in Sri Lanka in late 2025. Many families in these areas were severely affected by the disaster and faced difficulties in accessing food and basic necessities. In response to this situation, the Lions Club of Kesbewa organized the preparation and distribution of cooked food parcels to support affected families and individuals during this difficult period. This project was conducted as part of the club’s humanitarian and disaster relief efforts to provide immediate relief and support to communities affected by natural disasters. |

Lions Club of Kesbewa organized an eye screening camp and free spectacles donation programme on 29th November 2025 at the YMBA Maharagama. Beneficiaries for this project were identified and gathered through the Grama Niladhari officers, including patients visiting the Maharagama Cancer Hospital, elderly individuals, and low-income residents from the surrounding area. Following the eye examinations, free spectacles were donated to selected beneficiaries in need of vision correction. Through this project, the Lions Club of Kesbewa contributed towards improving vision and quality of life for the community. Over 93 beneficiaries received services through this programme. This project was conducted as part of the club’s community health and humanitarian service initiatives. |

This catastrophic natural disaster caused significant loss of life, left many people missing, and affected millions across the country, leaving many families displaced and in urgent need of assistance. In response to this situation, the Lions Club of Kesbewa organized the distribution of lunch packets to support affected individuals and families during this difficult time. |
