The Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies Lions Club proudly organized “Wadihiti Upahara – The Day of Elders” on October 11, 2025, at Kolamadiriya Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, commencing at 9:00 a.m. Under the theme “Medical Camps and Medical Assistance – Donation of Dry Rations,” this special program was dedicated to honoring and supporting the elderly in our community. The event included medical checkups, distribution of dry rations, and the presentation of essential goods and commodities. The elders were joyfully cheered with music and heartfelt appreciation for their lifelong sacrifices and the milestones they have achieved. This meaningful day reflected the Lions’ enduring commitment to compassion, service, and community care — recognizing the value and wisdom of our senior citizens while uplifting their spirits with love and respect
