Participation-lions 3 L/L 1 Non Lions 2 Beneficiaries-200+ Re-submit with Following comments. =========== OPD patients registered for Saturdays 200+ According to the bill attached items used for the event as follows. Maliban Smart cream cackers=4 packets (65 Biscuts in one packet ×4=260 biscuits) Pure Dale milk 1kg and Raththi milk 400g This items enough for 200 people. Then approval authority can assume 200 beneficiaries are fair and reasonable.

Awareness program on Diabetes and related foods at the "Niroga Elders' Home, Temple road, Hadapangoda. A total of 21 elders paticipated. The program was held on 14th of November 2025 from 11.00am to 12.00pm. A lecture on diabetes was conducted by Nutritionist Ms. Iresha Samanmali.

The Lions Club of Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies successfully conducted a collaborative district project on 20/10/2025 at Moragahena Maha Vidyalaya, Moragahena, Horana under the leadership of Project Chairman Lion Sithara Jayarathne. The project emphasized collaboration with other clubs and Leos to maximize community impact. The event was graced by Lions Clubs International Director Lion David Wineman as Chief Guest, along with the District Governor, Zone, and Region Chairpersons. The project included a medical camp supported by Lion doctors and a donation of pens for the region’s “1 Child 1 Bag” initiative, headed by Regional Chairperson Lion Nilantha Peries, making it a highly successful campaign.

The Lions Club of Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies organized a key project for the District Service Carnival on 20/10/2025 at Moragahena Maha Vidyalaya, Moragahena, Horana, under the leadership of Project Chairman Lion Rangika Jayathilaka. As part of the carnival, the club conducted a successful medical camp that provided treatment to over 125 local patients as well as many Lions. The event was honored by the presence of Lions Clubs International Director Lion David Wineman as the Chief Guest. The District Governor, along with the Zone and Region Chairpersons, also attended. With the dedicated support of several Lion doctors, the project became a highly impactful and well-recognized service initiative.

The project “Kids Are Our Future” was held on 03/10/2025 under the leadership of Project Chairperson Lion Shamalee Peries, focusing on empowering and caring for the next generation. Aligned with the theme of organizing impactful joint projects with Leos, the event took place at the Colombo Lotus Tower and three additional venues. A total of 18 Lions and 3 Leos participated. The Leo Club of Millaniya played a key role by providing hydration supplies and actively assisting in treating the children, ensuring the project’s meaningful success and reinforcing the message that nurturing children today shapes a stronger tomorrow.

A diabetes prevention program organized by Lion Heshini and her team on World Diabetes Day was held at the University of Jayewardenepura campus. Healthy exercise and food were provided. TheLion Club of Colombo Kalubowila was also invited for the program and Lion Meegolla, Lion Shamani and Lion Nishantha participated representing our Lion Club.

Educational Program on New Inventions, Engineering & Technology – Lions Service Carnival, District 306D2 As part of the Lion Service Carnival organized by District 306D2, an educational session covering New Inventions, Engineering & Technology, along with a Career Guidance Workshop, was conducted by International Fair Director on Inventions, Lion Eng. J. Meegoda. The program aimed to inspire creativity, innovation, and awareness among participants, especially the younger generation. The Chief Guest for the event was Lions International Director, Lion David Wienman, whose presence added great significance to the occasion. The program was graced by the District Governor, Cabinet Officers, Club Presidents, and Lions, who appreciated the valuable insights shared during the session. This initiative successfully contributed to the Lions’ mission of empowering communities through knowledge, innovation, and leadership development.

Mental Health and Well-being Awareness Session – Athulathmudali Vidyalaya, Mt. Lavinia To commemorate the Mental Health Week declared by Lions International, an awareness session on Mental Health and Well-being was successfully conducted at Athulathmudali Vidyalaya, Mt. Lavinia. The session was led by International Professional Engineer Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda, Fair Director of new student inventions for the past 25 years, who shared valuable knowledge and practical guidance on maintaining mental wellness, managing stress, and building a positive mindset. The event was well attended by the students, Principal, and staff, who actively participated and appreciated the importance of mental health in academic and personal life. This initiative reflects the Lions’ continued commitment to supporting the holistic development of students and fostering a healthier, more resilient future generation

Innovation in Engineering & Technology Workshop Project Chairman: Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda Venue: Athulathmudali Vidyalaya, Mt. Lavinia Audience: Students, Teachers, Principal Key Highlights A presentation on Innovation in Engineering & Technology was delivered by International Professional Engineer Jayavilal Meegoda, under the auspices of the Lions Club, Polgasowita. The workshop aimed to initiate and nurture the innovation process among students and teachers, encouraging creative thinking, problem-solving, and future inventiveness. As part of the event, a handbook on invention was donated to the school’s Invention Club, providing a valuable resource to guide students in generating and developing new ideas. Gifts were presented to the members of the Invention Club, as well as to student inventors who had participated in school or national-level invention competitions in the previous year — acknowledging and rewarding their creativity and dedication.

Mental Health and well being awareness session at Darmaraja Vidyalaya, Piliyandala

The Lions Club hosted a dedicated awareness session at Darmaraja Vidyalaya on 8th October 2025 to engage students(200), teachers(10) and parents(200) in meaningful dialogue on mental health. The “Mental Health & Well-Being” initiative is one of the global service focus areas of Lions Clubs International, aiming to mobilise clubs worldwide to respond to rising mental health challenges by awareness-raising, supporting community mental health activities, and building resilience through service. The talk was conducted by Community Police Inspector Manoj Samarasekara (also serving as a counsellor), who delivered an insightful, interactive session designed especially for the school environment. The session covered essential themes such as: defining mental health and well-being; recognising stress, anxiety and emotional challenges among youth; practical resilience-building strategies; the value of seeking help; and the role of parents, teachers and community in supporting mental health.
