Tree planting was carried out in conjunction with Lions Service Week, reinforcing the club’s commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. The project was actively participated in by Lion Jayantha Abeygunarathna, Lion Jayasiri Attanayake, Lion Manohari Abeygunarathna, President Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda, Diluk Abeygunarathna, along with the dedicated staff of Highray Industries. Their collective effort demonstrated strong teamwork and a shared responsibility towards protecting the environment. Beyond planting, special emphasis was placed on the maintenance and long-term care of the saplings. Arrangements were made for regular watering, monitoring growth, and ensuring proper protection, recognizing that true environmental impact comes not just from planting trees, but from nurturing them to maturity. This initiative reflects the Lion values of service, responsibility, and environmental stewardship—contributing to a greener future while inspiring the community . |
