Lunch Donation Bokundara MOH Office 02.09.2026 On 02 September 2026, Lion Rashika de Soysa of the Arawwala Lions Club provided lunch for 60 people, including pregnant mothers and the staff of the Bokundara MOH Office. Second Vice District Governor Lion Gayan Akmeemana MJF, PMAF and his Lion Lady Lion Umanga Idunil Akmeemana participated in this service project. To support their participation and promote healthy habits, each student was provided with a fresh milk packet, a nutritious sandwich, and a piece of cake . The children enthusiastically joined the activities, making the special event a resounding success. Under District 306 D2, the Lions Club of Boralesgamuwa organized the 465th session of the youth empowerment program "Noya Yuthu Thana" (Where You Should Not Belong) on Thursday, August 6th, at Sewanagala Maha Vidyalaya Auditorium. The initiative focused on guiding school youth toward disciplined lives, protecting them from social evils, and preventing child abuse and domestic violence. Conceptualized and conducted by former Commissioner of Prisons Lion Jagath Weerasinghe MJF, MAF, JP, the interactive session emphasized character building, sound decision-making, and social responsibility. Led by Service Chairperson Lion Sadeva Kumar, the event drew strong participation from students, teachers, and community members. for this occasion Region chairperson L Sarath, President L Sumudu,L Anil,L Bandar, L Priyanka, L Udaya, L Dilumi, L Lasan has been participated.

Diabetes screening project

Medical camp held at Halpita Janashakthipura Temple on 15th Aug 2026.This was organised in collaboration with the Kesbewa MOH office. With this camp one of the major item was diabetes screening clinic. Organisers have adviced people to come with 10Hrs fasting to the camp. ,their blood samples were checkrd and identified the diabetic patients and advice them how to prevent and minimize their sugar levels.

In that camp , one of the expert Medical officer explained the people who came for the medical treatments about the toxin comes with our food items. He took ,Fruit drinks, Saman cans, frozen chicken, and eggs available in the market as an examples. He explained one by one and told how to select good items which suit to to human been. Also explained if you select items available in the market without knowing these things , the repercussions you face with health. 6 Lions were participated for the awareness program

Medical camp held at Halpita Janashakthipura Temple on 15th Aug 2026.This was organised in collaboration with the Kesbewa MOH office. With the help of government eye surgens , eye examination program was held. Nearly 100 people were check and advice fro them to get their eye site improved. 6 Lions were participated for this eye examination clinic.
