15th August 2025 At the Piliyandala Kiriwehera Temple, the Lions Club of Arawwala, together with the support of the Piliyandala Divisional Secretariat and relevant lecturers, successfully organized a special program for the children of the Gramaseva Children’s Society. The program, which lasted four hours, focused on the following key topics: Development of social skills and talents As the organizing chairperson, I was unable to attend the program in person. To celebrate the International Children’s Day 2025, the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee organized a special program at Agalawatte Kithulgoda Primary School. The event aimed to bring joy, education, and nutrition to school children while strengthening the bond between the school, parents, and the Lions community. The celebration included the distribution of breakfast packs (consisting of Milk Rice, Cake, and Milk Cup) and lunch with ice cream for 325 participants, including 150 school children, their parents, teachers, and Lions club members. Additionally, a short educational film was shown to the children to promote learning through entertainment, followed by a fun-filled evening of games to encourage teamwork, joy, and creativity among the young participants. |
