Dengue Advisory, Educational Campaign, and Community Address

Spearheaded by Project Chairperson Lion Vipula Kumara, a public dengue awareness campaign and address were successfully conducted. The program educated the community on dengue fever risks, preventive measures, and effective house cleaning practices to eliminate mosquito breeding sites.

Comprehensive Multi-Disciplinary Health Outreach: Eye Care, Diabetic Screening, and Medical Services

Organized under the leadership of Region 09 Chairperson Lion Asanga Wijewardena and the Lions Club of Horana West, a comprehensive multi-disciplinary health camp was successfully conducted. The event featured eye checkups, diabetic screenings, general medical consultations, and a dengue awareness program. Additionally, traditional Ayurvedic healthy refreshments were served to all attendees.

The Matugama Lions Club conducted a media workshop at Matugama Ananda Shastralaya. *Mr. Chinthaka Abeyrathna* served as the resource person for this workshop. This can also be recognized as the first workshop of the Matugama Lions Club. *Lion Dileep De Alwis,* the new Club President, also participated in the event. The total expenditure of Rs. 6,750 for this program was covered from the funds of the Matugama Lions Club.

An awareness program was held on June 14, 2026, at the residence of a 'Korala Ima' member to brief prospective members on the new "Korala Ima Central" Lions Club, an initiative of the Arawwala Lions Club.
