Under the continuous commitment to serve the community, the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee organized a special service project to distribute sugar-free dry food packs among diabetic patients from low-income families. • This initiative aimed to support the health and nutritional needs of diabetic individuals who struggle to afford suitable dietary items due to financial constraints. To provide essential food items suitable for diabetic patients.To promote health awareness and encourage healthy eating habits among patients. To extend humanitarian assistance to low-income families in need of medical and nutritional care. The project was successfully carried out with the participation of club members and community volunteers. Each beneficiary received a specially prepared sugar-free dry food pack, ensuring suitability for diabetic dietary requirements. he Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee successfully organized a Cleaning Program under the national initiative “Cleanup Sri Lanka.” The program was held on 20th September 2025 at the center of Millaniya town with the active participation and sponsorship of club members, local authorities, law enforcement officers, and community representatives. treets and public spaces in the center of Millaniya town were thoroughly cleaned. The joint effort showcased strong collaboration between Lions and Leo members, community volunteers, police officers, and local government representatives. The initiative received a positive response and appreciation from local residents and business owners, strengthening community trust and cooperation. The Cleanup Sri Lanka Program in Millaniya Town was a great success. It demonstrated the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee’s continuous dedication to environmental protection, social responsibility, and community service. |

Under the Lions District 306 D-2 service theme “Mental Health and Well-being”, the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee, together with the Leo Club, successfully organised a pilgrimage tour on 11th October 2025. A total of 50 participants, including elders from low-income families and Buddhist female monks, joined this spiritual journey. The group visited the following sacred sites: Bellanwila Rajamaha Viharaya Pillewa Temple Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya Throughout the tour, participants engaged in religious activities such as Buddha pooja, meditation, and dhamma discussions, creating an atmosphere of inner peace and happiness. |
