The Lions Club of Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies carried out the project “Guiding Our Students” on 6th January 2026 at Gungamuwa Primary School, Bandaragama, under the Global Cause of Other Humanitarian Services, as part of the local initiative “One Child One Bag.” This project aimed at supporting children’s education by distributing essential school supplies to students in need. A total of 19 Lion members, including 9 members from the host club, actively participated in the initiative. The event was honored by the presence of District Governor Lion Priyantha Perera and District First Lady Lion Dushanthi Gomez as Chief Guests. Region Chairperson Lion Nilantha Peries, Region 7 Chairperson Lion Dayapala Pathirage, and Zone Chairperson Lion J. P. Manathunga also attended. Children were provided with school bags, shoes, books, and other learning necessities, helping to ease their educational challenges and encourage continued learning.

The Lions Club of Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies conducted the project “Better Look into the World with a Better Vision” on 14th December 2025 at the Snake Poison Medical Hospital, Polhena, Kelaniya, under the Global Cause of Vision. This initiative focused on eye health, including vision screening, free spectacle distribution, and medical assistance, benefiting individuals with visual impairments. A total of six Lion members participated, guided by Club Advisor Lion Thusitha Aushadarathna, with support from the Chief Guest 1st Vice Governor Lion Sunethra Thanthiriwaththa and the Zone Chairperson. 137 spectacles were donated, and the event was sponsored and reported by Subasetha Newspaper, alongside other health activities including poison treatment, beauty camps, Ayurvedic consultations, and medicine donations.

The Lions Club of Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies successfully carried out the project titled “Hand in Hand” on 5th December 2025 in the Kosgama area, under the Global Cause of Disaster Relief, with special focus on the support of disaster relief organizations. This humanitarian initiative was organized to provide timely assistance to individuals affected by the severe impact of the Ditvah hurricane and subsequent flooding. A total of six Lion members actively participated in planning and implementing the project. As part of the relief effort, 150 water bottles were donated to the victims, addressing their immediate need for safe drinking water during the crisis period. The distribution was conducted with care and compassion, ensuring that the donated items reached those most affected. This project reflected the commitment of Lion members to stand hand in hand with communities during times of disaster, offering practical support and relief. The initiative contributed to easing the hardships
