ලෝක ළමා දිනයදා සිංහාධිපතිතුමන්ගේ අකුරට සවියක් ව්‍යාපෘති මාලාවේ One child - One Bag වැඩසටහනට අනුව නෑබඩ මහා විද්‍යාලයේ තෝරාගත් සිසුන් 20 ක් සදහා අවශ්‍ය පොත්කට්ටල හා පාසල් බෑග් ලබාදීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය. හොරණ මිඩ්සිටි සිංහ සමාජය මගින් සංවිධානය කල මෙම වැඩසටහට අවශ්‍ය පාසල් බෑග් , අකුරට සවියක් ව්‍යාපෘතිය භාරව කටයුතු කරන කැබිනට් නිලධාරී සිංහ සරත් දර්මසිරි විසින් ලබාදිය.

Lions Environment Month Art Competition

On behalf of Lions Environment Month, Midcity Horana Lions Club conducted an art competition at Neboda Maha Vidyalaya. Certificates and prizes were presented to the students who took part, inspiring them to express their thoughts on environmental protection through art. The program was chaired by Lion Akila Ukwaththa, President of Midcity Lions Club Horana, and the resource person was W.D. Sanduni Rasanjali Leelarathna.

Following the environmental conservation lecture, Midcity Lions Club organized an environmental-themed debate and poster competition for the Grade 6–9 students of Neboda Maha Vidyalaya. The program helped reinforce the lecture by encouraging students to express their knowledge and ideas creatively and critically. Prizes were awarded to the winners, and all participants were recognized for their active involvement. The program was chaired by Lion Akila Ukwaththa, President of Lions Club Of Horana Midcity , and the resource person was W.D. Sanduni Rasanjali Leelarathna.

Environmental Conservation Lecture

Lions Club of Horana Midcity organized an environmental conservation lecture for the Grade 6–9 students of Neboda Maha Vidyalaya. At the end of the program, certificates were awarded to all students who actively participated in the session, encouraging them to continue their role in protecting the environment. The program was chaired by Lion Akila Ukwaththa, President of Lions Club Of Horana Midcity , and the resource person was W.D. Sanduni Rasanjali Leelarathna.

තුරුළිය පිරි බිමක් - හරිත වර්ණ හෙටක් ???????????? A tree planting project was carried out by LIONS CLUB OF HORANA MIDCITY within the school premises of Neboda Maha Vidyalaya. This initiative not only enhanced the greenery of the school environment but also created awareness among students about the importance of protecting nature. This meaningful awareness session focused on the importance of mental and physical well-being for children with special needs. It highlighted the positive impact of music therapy and mindfulness in promoting happiness, flexibility, strength, balance, and self-confidence — while also helping to reduce stress and encourage deep relaxation. Mental health awareness & Mind Development program

We the Lions of Lions club of Raigampurawaraya successfully conducted a mental health awareness and mind development program on 12th of October 2025 at "Bawdabalamandalaya" Bandaragama for the people who observed sil. We provided " Danaya" for about 50 people. Also the monk delivered a "Dharma Deshanawa" which can cover the topics like ethical conduct, meditation and the path development to enlightenment for mind development. Lion Wasantha Jayawardane & Lion Monica Tilakarathna participated the program.

English Book Donation to Sri Sumangala Maha Vidyalaya, Olaboduwa, Gonapola

About 80 English Story Books for the ages 6 to age 15 were donated to the Library of the school in view of educating the English knowledge of the children and to develop a liking towards reading habits..

This is expected to provide future business opportunities for school children, to nourish future generations with knowledge for the gem business that has spread around the Ingiriya area, and to update their knowledge if their parents are involved in the gem field. The first lecture series was attended by lions club of midcity president , as a Gemologist, and a Gemology Instructor from Sabaragamuwa University. The project chairman was Lion Akila Ukwaththa, and organized by the Lions Clubs of Horana Mid City.
