Food Donation for Ditwa Disaster Victims

1000 food packets were prepared and packed and handed over to the DG of District 306 D2 for their distribution of relevant food collecting locations to be transported to the Ditwa storm victims. Lions Club of Horana Metro was the fist club to come forward for the preparation of 1000 food packs for two days in 500 category to be distributed for the Victims.

We, the Lions Club of Weedagama carried out a humanitarian Project for the children who faced the disaster of Kalaoya area iwhich was severely affected and damaged by flood. They lost there all belongings even their houses and no shelters at present. PART PAYMENT OF SALARY FOR IT TEACHER

Lion Piyathilaka Dandeniya has been donating Rs.2,000/- to the School Development Society of WP/HO/Gungamuwa Primary School, Western Province, Sri Lanka, as a part payment of a salary for an IT Teacher, since there is no an IT Teacher has been recruited for the school. Lion Dandeniya and few others are contributing for this. This is for October 2025.

DONATION TO A DIABETIC PATIENT

One Nimal Edirisinghe, a diabetic & kidney patient has requested financial assistance from us long year ago and Lion Indika Rajapakshe of our club gave his consent to donate funds monthly to his account. Since then, Rs.5000/- is being made to his account direct. This transaction is for November 2025.

SCHOLORSHIP TO STUDENT - SUGITHMA JAYATHILAKA

P. Sugiethma Jayathilaka whose father lost few years ago, is a student of Horana Taxila College, Western Province. She qualified for the AL last year and requested financial assistance for her studies . We communicated with Mr Ruchira Bandara and he agreed to give his hands to that student and since December 2024 he injected funds to Sugithma's mothers account through our project account. This is for November 2025.

SCHOLORSHIP TO STUDENT - RASINDI ANUTHTHARA

B Rasindi Anuththara Mendis is studying at WP/HO/Gungamuwa Primary School coming from a poor family. Her father has no permanent job and doing daily paid work from place to place. Mother also has no job. They requested us some financial assistance to support their daughter's education. Accordingly, we arranged a scholarship to pay tution fees etc. for this student from our club account. Principal of the school also recommended this donation. This is for November 2025.

R M Methmi Upeksha, who is an A/L Student aged 18+ has requested us for a financial assistance for her studies. Mr Ruchira Bandara gave his consent to assist Methmi until she finishes her A/L studies. From then, a standing order was processed and LKR 4000/- has been credited through our Project Account. Pediatric cancer children in Indira Trust

we shared a beautiful time with 32 brave little children at Indira Trust through a greeting card handwork session and music therapy. We also donated fruits and yoghurts for their nutrition. The children were so happy, singing songs with us and enjoying every moment.
