As part of Lions Clubs International Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September, Lion Kokila Jayathilaka of the Arawwala Lions Club conducted a beaded bracelet-making programme with 50 children at the Indira Cancer Trust Foundation in Maharagama.
The programme was organized with the aim of promoting the mental well-being and happiness of the children. The children actively participated in making beaded bracelets and experienced great joy and happiness through this activity.
Lion Sarangi Maheshika, a member of the Arawwala Lions Club and Leo Club Advisor of the Arawwala Leo Club, and Yusali Jayathilaka, daughter of Lion Kokila Jayathilaka, also participated in the programme.
This meaningful initiative provided the children with an opportunity to enjoy a creative and engaging activity while supporting their emotional and mental well-being.
