Description

The Lions Club of Horana Excellence, in collaboration with the MOH Office, Horana, successfully conducted an important and impactful awareness programme focused on the prevention and early awareness of childhood cancer. The programme featured valuable and informative lectures delivered by distinguished university lecturers from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and the University of Colombo, providing participants with important knowledge on childhood cancer prevention, awareness, and early identification. The event was also graced by the participation of Zone Chairperson – Region 9, Zone 2, Lion Iroshan Ariyarathna MAF, and Cabinet Officer Lion Dhananjaya Ruhunage MJF. More than 100 participants took part in this valuable programme, demonstrating the strong community interest in creating awareness and protecting the health and wellbeing of children. Together, we can create awareness, promote early action, and build a healthier future for our children.
