An awareness program on the prevention and early detection of childhood cancer was successfully conducted at Kumbuka Primary School on 31st July 2026. The program was conducted by Dr. Sanjaya, Medical Officer of Kalutara Hospital, with the aim of increasing awareness among parents and teachers about childhood cancer, including its warning signs, prevention, and the importance of early detection and timely medical attention. The session was very informative and useful to the parents and teachers of the school.
