At the invitation of Lion Nandika Perera, President of the Arawwala Lions Club, Lion Dr. Praneeth Nishad of the Horana Excellence Lions Club conducted an awareness lecture on "How a pregnant mother can protect herself from diabetes" for expectant mothers visiting the Gonapola Maternal and Child Health Clinic on August 13, 2026. Lion San Senanayake, President of the Horana Excellence Lions Club, and Leo Vidusha Perera, President of the Arawwala Leo Club, also participated in this program
