Lion Kokila Jayathilaka and Lion Prasad Jayathilaka of the Arawwala Lions Club donated approximately 40 kites on August 9, 2026, in response to a request from officials at the Indira Cancer Trust Foundation—an organization affiliated with the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital—aimed at boosting the morale of children undergoing treatment there. The children found great joy in flying the kites, an activity that contributed to their mental well-being
