A Bodhi Pooja (Buddhist religious blessing ceremony) was held on 5 July 2026 at Vijayagiri Piriven Viharaya, Korala Ima, Gonapola, to invoke blessings upon the newly elected President of the Arawwala Lions Club, Lion Nandika Perera, MJf.This religious programme was a project organized by Lion Nandika Perera, MJF, and Leo Vidusha Perera. Lions who participated are Lion Namal Perera MJFand family,Lion Indika Siriwardhana and Family,Lion kithsiri. Expenses incurred for this project without receipts: Betel leaves - 700/- Bananas - 300/- Halapa - 4,000/- Gilanpasa (Monastic refreshments) - 2,000/- Monetary offering - 2,000/- Transportation costs for the monk - 1,900/- Total - 10,900/-
