On July 1, 2026, Lion Nandika Perera (MJF), President of the Arawwala Lions Club, donated all the necessary equipment for the electrical wiring of the newly constructed Buddha shrine at the historic Sri Jayathilakarama Purana Maha Viharaya on Dutugemunu Mawatha, Peliyagoda. This donation was made at the request of the temple's Chief Incumbent, Ven. Omalpe Dhammaloka Thero
