Lions Service Week – Environmental Arts Competition
In celebration of Lions Service Week, the Lions Clubs International together with the Lions Club of Polgasowita organized an Environmental Arts Competition for the students of Dharmaraja Vidyalaya Piliyandala.
In line with the message of the International President (IP), this initiative aimed to create awareness among school children on the importance of environmental protection. Students were encouraged to express their ideas creatively through art, highlighting themes such as a clean environment, conservation of natural resources, reduction of pollution, and the importance of sustainable living.
Art was used as a powerful medium to engage young minds, allowing students to:
Visually communicate environmental messages
Develop creativity and imagination
Build a sense of responsibility towards nature
