The Governor’s Programme “Akurata Saviyak” was conducted with the participation of Lion D. V. Abeysingha, who is also a past pupil of the vidyalaya, adding special significance and inspiration to the event.
As part of this initiative, the Lions Club of Polgasowita donated essential equipment for the Grade 1 classroom, identified as a requirement under the national education reforms, thereby supporting a positive and engaging learning environment for young students.
The Zonal Director of Education also participated in the programme and engaged in discussions on the current education reforms, highlighting their importance in improving the quality and accessibility of education at grassroots level.
Adding spiritual value to the occasion, the Chief Priest and a resident Priest conducted Pirith chanting and bestowed blessings on the new students, wishing them success and well-being as they begin their educational journey.
This initiative strongly aligns with the Lions Global Cause.
