The Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair was successfully conducted to identify and select the most outstanding young inventors in the country to represent at the prestigious International Science and Engineering Fair. The finalists were chosen from among the very best participants of the Junior Inventor of the Year, Science Research Project Competition, Young Computer Scientist Competition, and the Invention and Robotics Competition, ensuring a highly competitive and merit-based selection process.
The evaluation was carried out by a distinguished panel of judges chaired by Prof. Rezvi Sheriff, a senior medical academic, together with experienced engineers and IT professionals. Importantly, President of the Lions Club of Polgasowita, Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda, served on the judging panel in his capacity as the International Fair Director, contributing his expertise and leadership to the selection process.
