Description

On the invitation of the Principal and Master in charge of Ananda Samarakone vidyalaya, Wewala, President Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda of Lions Club of Polgasowita and International Fair Director conducted an awareness and motivational presentation on national and international invention and research competitions. The session was attended by around 185 students and teachers. The presentation focused on the importance of innovation, research, creativity, and problem solving for school students. He explained the pathways available for Sri Lankan young inventors to participate in global competitions through the national selection process. A highly interactive Question and Answer session was held, and the participation and enthusiasm of the students and teachers were very satisfactory. This programme was conducted under the “Akurata Saviyak” District Governor’s Programme, aligned with the values of Lionism and the Lions global cause of Youth Empowerment, inspiring young minds.
