A brainstorming session for the young inventors of Darmapala Vidyalaya, Arawwala Inventors club was conducted under the guidance of Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda.
During the session, students presented their initial invention concepts and received constructive guidance on how to systematically develop their projects. The mentors explained the importance of beginning with a proper literature review, understanding existing technologies, and identifying research gaps before proceeding with design and experimentation. Students were also advised on the need to obtain ethical clearances where required, especially for projects involving human participation, environmental impact, or data collection.
In keeping with the values of Lions International, the program emphasized empowerment of youth through knowledge, mentorship, and service-oriented innovation. Students were encouraged to develop inventions that demonstrate creativity and technical skill but also address real societal challenges.
