According to findings reported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), it is estimated that four people benefit for every tree that is planted and properly maintained, highlighting the meaningful social and environmental value of sustainable tree‑planting initiatives. In alignment with this global outlook, we successfully implemented a Tree Planting Project at Sri John Kotelawala Maha Vidyalaya, through which 530 plants and seeds were donated and planted within the school premises. This initiative significantly enhanced the school’s green environment, improved its aesthetic appeal, and fostered a culture of environmental responsibility among students by transforming the campus into a greener, healthier learning space.
