Project Context: This crucial Spectacles Donation Project was executed by the Bokundara Central Lions Club, in collaboration with the district, as a dedicated service component within the broader Lions District Service Carnival 2025, held at Moragahahena Maha Vidyalaya. This highly visible project ensured maximum impact by integrating vision screening and spectacles donation into a large-scale community health event.
Vision impairment significantly impacts education, employment, and quality of life. The provision of comprehensive screening followed by the donation of spectacles provides immediate, tangible relief for individuals diagnosed with refractive errors, enabling them to lead more productive and independent lives.
Action Taken: Under the chairmanship of Lion Indika Siriwardana, the Bokundara Central Lions Club successfully facilitated a comprehensive vision screening for approximately 250 individuals. Following the medical checks, the club coordi
