Objective: The primary objective of this project was to raise significant funds for the "Diriya Sewanaka" project, a District 306 D2 initiative dedicated to providing a "shelter" or financial/operational safety net for courageous self-employed women. The event aimed to blend cultural preservation with humanitarian service through a traditional "Paduru Sajje" musical experience. Action Taken: The District Lions Ladies Committee organized a high-profile musical evening titled "Sihaliya Gee Sara" at The Winsgreat, Polgasowita. The event featured traditional music and community singing, attracting a wide audience from the Lions family and the general public. Under the leadership of Project Chairperson Lion Lady Gayathri Karunananda, the committee managed ticket sales, venue logistics, and promotional activities to ensure maximum attendance.
