An awareness session on the Sri Lanka Science and Engineering Fair (SLSEF), the national invention competition aimed at selecting young innovators to represent Sri Lanka at prestigious international platforms such as the International Science and Engineering Fair(USA), Taiwan International Science Fair, and SciFest(Ireland), was successfully conducted.
The session was led by International Fair Director Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda together with distinguished student inventors and alumni of international science fairs: Eng. Maduranga Karunajeewa (ISEF Alumni – 2010) and Chirath Senanayaka (ISEF2024, TISF2025. Their inspiring journeys and achievements were shared to motivate school students and parents to engage in innovation, research, and scientific thinking from an early stage.
The programme included presentations on the importance of creativity, problem-solving, and research-based learning, followed by an interactive question and answer session.
