As per the guidelines of our District D2 Governor, the Arawwala Lions Club and the Arawwala Leo Club, together with the support of all Lions, Leos, the yoga class members of Lion Prabath, and my neighbours, have made a valuable contribution to those who are suffering the most.
The recent floods have been one of the most challenging natural disasters in our country’s history. The destruction has been severe, leaving many Sri Lankans displaced and countless families devastated. Even today, many of our people continue to struggle with the impact of this disaster.
All collected donations were officially handed over yesterday evening to the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation (SLRC).
On behalf of the Arawwala Lions Club, I wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to all Lions and non-Lions who contributed to supporting our people during this difficult time. Your compassion and generosity are truly commendable.
