A new library building has been identified as an essential requirement for Siripathi Vidyalaya, Ambalangoda, in order to enhance the learning environment and provide better educational resources for the students. Recognizing the importance of this initiative, Lion Anura Jayasekara of Lions Club of Polgasowita has generously agreed to sponsor the construction of the new building.
A ceremonial foundation-laying event was held with District Governor Lion Priyantha Perera and the First Lady serving as the Chief Guests. The foundation stone was laid by the Governor, together with Lion Jayantha Abeygunarathna and Club President Lion Eng. Jayavilal Meegoda.
Following the ceremony, a special meeting was held for the students. During this session, the President, the District Governor, the Chief Priest, and the Principal addressed the students, highlighting the value of reading, through library usage, and the long-term benefits.
