The Ballanthudawa Royal Ladies Lions Club successfully organized “Wadihiti Upahara – The Day of Elders” on October 11, 2025, at Kolamadiriya Purana Rajamaha Viharaya, commencing at 9:00 a.m. This heartfelt program was dedicated to honoring the elderly members of our community for their lifelong sacrifices, wisdom, and invaluable contributions. The event was filled with joy, music, and gratitude as the elders were warmly entertained with delightful performances and presented with thoughtful gifts and essential commodities. Through this meaningful celebration, the club expressed deep respect and appreciation toward the senior citizens who paved the way for future generations. The occasion beautifully reflected the Lions’ spirit of service, compassion, and unity — reminding everyone of the importance of caring for those who once cared for us.
