Near the beach by Dehiwala Station
On 20th September 2025, the Lions Club of Kesbewa organized a beach cleaning project near Dehiwala Station from 2:30 p.m. onwards.
This community service initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness, cleanliness, and the preservation of our coastal areas. Lions and volunteers actively participated in removing litter and debris, ensuring a safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable beach environment for the public.
The project highlighted the Lions’ commitment to protecting nature, fostering civic responsibility, and inspiring others to take part in environmental conservation. Through this effort, the club demonstrated that even small acts of service can make a meaningful impact, creating a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community.
