The Hunger Project, organized by Lion Sarath Rajapaksha and Lion Lady Renuka Gunawardana, was held on the 27th of October 2025 at the “Karuna” Elders Home, located on Shri Wajiraghana Mawatha, Boralesgamuwa Road, Maharagama.
This compassionate initiative was dedicated to brightening the lives of the elderly residents by offering them delicious homemade meals prepared with love and care. The project embodied the true spirit of service, empathy, and humanity, as the Lions shared not only food but also warmth, respect, and heartfelt companionship with the elders.
In keeping with the home’s policy and out of respect for the privacy and dignity of the residents, photographs of the elderly were not taken during the visit.
