With the sponsorship of the Horana Midcity Lions Club, a volleyball tournament was held at Ingiriya Gamini Central College on 12th September 2025, for 10 teams from the area, under the leadership of the District 306 D2 Governor Lion Priyantha Perera PMJF and Lion Lady.
The main objectives were to establish an under-16 boys’ team for the Ingiriya Sports Club, to evaluate the children’s skills, and to promote the game of volleyball.
The program was chaired by Lion Akila Ukwaththa (President, Lions Club of Horana Mid City) and coordinated by Dasuni Wikramasinghe.
