According to the vision of the Lions Governor for 2025–2026, under the “Akuraṭa Saviya” project series, a program was initiated to provide newspapers required for school libraries.
In this initiative, the Horana Midcity Lions Club decided to continuously provide the necessary ???? newspapers every week for a full year to Gamini Central College, Ingiriya, starting from 27th August 2025.
The occasion was graced by the President and Secretary of the Horana Midcity Lions Club, Lion Dayapala Pathirage, Chairman of Region 07, members of Lake House , Dr. Kamal Abeywardana, the Deputy Principal of the school, the project coordinator Mrs. Sanduni Leelarathna, and the school librarian.
