Sri Medhananda Junior School in Mativiliya, Pitigala, Elpitiya, Galle
A special lunch was provided for 275 students and 34 staff members of Sri Medhananda Junior School in Mativiliya by the Lions Club of Galle Legends. The request for this initiative was made by the school principal and several teachers, and it was fulfilled by the Lions Club under the leadership of Project Chairman Lion Methsiri De Silva.
While the main meal was offered by the Club, additional food items were also provided by the students' parents. The parents took part in serving the meals to the students and teachers. After the main meal, ice cream was served as a dessert.
Following the meal, Lion Methsiri De Silva delivered an inspirational speech, encouraging the students to focus on their education with a positive mindset.
This project was successfully carried out with the active support of the school principal, staff, parents, and students, making it a memorable and meaningful event.
