The Horana Midcity Lions Club organized a program on mental health for 200 students of Gamini Central College. The session was chaired by Lion and Lion Akila Ukwatta, President of the Horana Midcity Lions Club. The resource person for the program was Ms. Kumesh Prabashini from the University of Colombo.

Provided Fresh milk to engineering faculty students at university of Moratuwa. Those who participated to the Awareness programme held at university of Moratuwa. Two Awareness programme were conducted. 1)career guidance training. 2)mental health and well-being programme. after the sessions all students were given Fresh milk packs. Providing yogurt for the nutrition of teachers and students

We provided yogurt for the nutrition of teachers and children. Twenty-two children and seven teachers were given yogurt.The yogurt was fully sponsored by Lion Nalin Mendis.

At the request of the Principal of Stanley Thilakaratne College, Udahamulla, we, the Lions Club of Colombo Kalubowila, were able to provide a large nameplate for that school.The school did all the design work for the nameplate and we provided full support for it.

Under the “Clean Sri Lanka” initiative, the Lions Club of Arawwala organized a cleanup project in Ella. The total transport and food cost amounted to Rs. 56,000, with 15 members participating. The residents of Ella also extended their support to successfully achieve the objectives of the program. Today 1st of August Lions of L/C of Raigampurawaraya has done another programme of library books donationunder the DG's theme of"Akurata Sawiyak" at Pathahawatta Sri Swarnajothi MV, Bandaragama. The books donated us by PDG Lion Rohantha De Fonseka MJF of L/C of Alubomlla. Zone chairman Lion Pradeep Amarathunga, Club President Lion Wasantha Jayawardane, Lion Indrakumara Jayawardane and Lion U. K. G. Menike were participated the event. Thank you PDG, 2nd VDG and all the Lions of L/C of Alubomulla for donation of books for our L/C.

We have provided services for the dialysis unit and several other wards of Apeksha Hospital.There we provided them with fruits, various snacks, and a variety of hygiene products.We received support from Lions Club members as well as students from Eurasian University to carry out this project.We are unable to submit invoices for this because all these items were donated to us by individual members from their own funds. It is a very difficult task to obtain receipts from them.

Help to Pediatric Cancer Unit

There were about one hundred and ten children in the children's ward of that hospital that day.For them, biscuits, extra food, books, pens, pencils, colored chalk, and baby diapers wally was given a lot of essential items.We are unable to submit invoices for this because all these items were donated to us by individual members from their own funds. It is a very difficult task to obtain receipts from them.

Blood Donation To Apeksha Hospital

A blood donation program for Apeksha Hospital was organized by our Lions Club involving students from Eurasian University.This program was implemented within the blood bank of Apeksha Hospital.We also arranged to provide food for those who came to donate blood.students from Eurasian University came to our aid.The food was fully sponsored by Lion Meegolla Lion Shamani and Lion Nalin.
