In celebration of World Children’s Day, the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee organized a special program at WP/HR/Batagoda Primary School to bring joy and encouragement to school children, their parents, and teachers. The event was held in collaboration with Bakefirst, who generously contributed refreshments and sweets. A total of 155 participants were served, including 80 school children, their parents, school teachers, and participating Lions members. The event included the distribution of school bags, books, and stationery to all students, along with delicious lunches and ice cream. The program also featured a variety of fun and educational activities designed to inspire and uplift the young students. |

15th August 2025 At the Piliyandala Kiriwehera Temple, the Lions Club of Arawwala, together with the support of the Piliyandala Divisional Secretariat and relevant lecturers, successfully organized a special program for the children of the Gramaseva Children’s Society. During a short break, the children were also treated with milk packets, fish buns, and egg buns as refreshments. As the organizing chairperson, I was unable to attend the program in person. Therefore, I sincerely extend my gratitude to Lion Priyantha and Leo Sathnara, who attended on my behalf and managed the event successfully. To celebrate the International Children’s Day 2025, the Lions Club of Millaniya Golden Jubilee organized a special program at Agalawatte Kithulgoda Primary School. The event aimed to bring joy, education, and nutrition to school children while strengthening the bond between the school, parents, and the Lions community. The celebration included the distribution of breakfast packs (consisting of Milk Rice, Cake, and Milk Cup) and lunch with ice cream for 325 participants, including 150 school children, their parents, teachers, and Lions club members. Additionally, a short educational film was shown to the children to promote learning through entertainment, followed by a fun-filled evening of games to encourage teamwork, joy, and creativity among the young participants. |
